Born this day 30th.May 1910. Sgt. Edward Paterek. Polish One of THE FEW. bbm.org.uk/airmen/Paterek… On a training flight he collided with another and crashed into the sea. He and his Hurricane were never found and it is presumed he drowned.

Lost his life this day 1st.June 1942. S.Ldr. John Arthur Gerald Gordon. Canadian One of THE FEW. bbm.org.uk/airmen/GordonJ… He was escorting Hurribombers to a target in Bruges, Belgium. They met a force of Fw 190s and his Spitfire was shot down. He was never found.

Lost his life this day 1st.June 1942.
