You might've noticed a new name next to the AWN Weekly Outlook last week. Our summer intern Evan Haag will be taking over forecasting duties for the next few weeks. This week's write up starts cool and windy but hints at some triple digits by the weekend #wawx #agwx

Sad to report we experienced some vandalism over the 4th of July holiday. A technician visited Mattawa on Friday to find the solar panel was recently stolen. Fortunately, plenty of sun had our battery well charged and our field team replaced the solar panel this morning #wawx

45 years ago today, Mount St. Helens erupted, killing 57 people and spewing 540 million tons of ash, which traveled the world. It’s a moment we will never forget. We conducted a moment of silence today to remember those who died.
