Party politics aside, it is just plain wrong to allow yet another unelected PM to be handed the levers of power during a time of multiple crises.

The media must serve the public by pointing this out.

One wonders what the #r4today headline would be this morning were Jeremy Corbyn PM. I rather suspect it would be about ‘calls for an immediate general election’. The country is in crisis, people are suffering, and the Tories are behaving as if power is a parlour game…

The BBC describes Xi’s horrific #ZeroCOVIDpolicy as ‘controversial’.

It’s not ‘controversial’ - it is unspeakably cruel and inhuman. But the BBC can’t say that because it supported a watered-down version of Beijing’s authoritarian approach right here.
