The third hole: Although the fairway may be narrow, the forgiving valley you drive into has the added benefit of guiding the ball back to the centre, as long as you don't stray too far off target.

Masters Sunday: we thought we would share the story of the original correspondence between Bobby Jones and Wallasey past-captain Sir Ernest Royden.

We're extremely grateful to Simon Coombs for his work as our club archivist, not least how we came into possession of these!

Bobby Jones overlooks the lounge at all times through the original painting completed by Wallasey member John Berrie, in 1930.

Jones was so delighted with the work that he signed the portrait, & even commissioned a replica which now hangs at Augusta National in Georgia.

On Monday 25th our Seniors Section held their AGM, dinner and prize presentation.

As shown from the picture on our terrace there was a strong turnout.

The Par 5, 13th, 'Saddleback'', one of the most challenging on the course, and marks the beginning of a tough closing stretch of holes.
