Errr… this is statistically misleading. Around 1 in 2.8 million people become billionaires. If you’re born into a wealthy (UHNW) family, it’s closer to 1 in 230. Being “self-made” doesn’t mean the odds are in your favor. It just means you weren’t born into even better odds.

Very valid point from Terence Tao on why controlled experiments are crucial for evaluating AI systems. Without standard conditions, comparing performance across systems or against humans can be misleading and lacks scientific rigor.

One trend I’m noticing: Graceland School in Port Harcourt seems to have produced the most participants and winners in math olympiads (International, Pan-African, etc). There also appears to be a pipeline for STEM undergrad study in Russia. I don’t have the full picture yet.
