The Wakefield Police Department will be doing training along with the Wakefield Fire Department, DPW, and other town departments at the High School today between 8am-3pm. Please don't be alarmed if you see numerous public safety vehicles around the Farm St & Hemlock Rd area.

There are many reports of flooding on several streets in town. The DPW has been notified of this and will do what they can to clear leaves from storm drains. Please use caution when out driving and use caution and reduce speed when a road covered with water is encountered.

Scam alert: tonight, a resident received a call from someone who claimed to be a Wakefield Police Officer looking for donations. The caller spoofed the WPD business line (781) 245-1212 to make the call look legitimate. We are currently NOT soliciting any donations.
