Added 2w to my portable 10Ghz set up. I typically use a 17dB horn with this set up. Just waiting for an attenuator so I don’t overdrive the PA.

Testing RX on the W1GHZ 2.3Ghz transverter with a DB6NT beacon transmitter into a small sma dummy load.

Some 10Ghz action during microwave activity day. It was a chilly one on the lake.

W1GHZ 2304 transverter done. Now to get the other bits to complete the build and make a QSO.

A little 10Ghz action today between me and WA3PQZ with a IC905. We both used small horn antennas. I had a 17db horn with about 250mW from a DB6NT transverter. Only about 5 miles but it’s nice having new local ops on the microwave bands.

A little EME action for a few hours. 2 DXCC nice reports. Missed a few unfortunately.

Some portable 10Ghz action today w/ N8IUP. Easy 59 copy on SSB&CW with a touch of some rain scatter.

2nd time getting spotted down in Australia with 100mW on 10m WSPR. I’ve been having a lot of fun watching this little U3S do its thing.

Been testing QRSS at night RX with the base rig while the band is dead. Might start next with with transmitting QRSS on 10m.

First time hitting down under on 10m WSPR… Now only with 100mW amazing what this little thing can do! 16114 Km.

The QRPLabs U3S has been a pretty fun project lately. So far today furthest DX is Bulgaria on 10m with about .200 mW.

Loaded up my Comet GP6 VHF antenna on 10m with a tuner.. this is .200mW
The U3S is run on a single 18650 battery that will use solar to keep it charged during the day. It runs 16 hours so far on a single charge. Just waiting for enclosure and build a new antenna.

This was a fun little kit to build.
Unsure if keeping as CW or change to WSPR.

First QSO with the freshly built ATS4. 2.5w on 9v and just a little over 5w on 12v.

ATS-4 finished! No magic smoke here. Next is to break it in with a portable outing! Now just gotta feel better to be out in the cold.

Little more solder therapy this evening. Just need to wind the last 6 toroids and place the missing resistor in. Might be able to get this on the air Wednesday night!
