Our team members will be hosting an OrbitDB workshop on Monday. If you think you could use a database in your decentralized app that _works_, come and join us! 🙂 x.com/orbit_db/statu…

Also, we'd love to discuss more what Ambients, the distributed computation protocol, means and how having safe interoperability between apps and networks benefits everyone in the decentralized web: medium.com/@hajanetworks/…

Most importantly, Web3 Summit is a meeting place for brilliant people, sharing ideas and visions of the web, at the beautiful venue (❤️ the architecture!), so it's hard to _not_ be excited! 🙂 We hope to meet many old friends and make new ones, so see you there!

"Protocols, not platforms" 🔥 knightcolumbia.org/content/protoc…. We've presented the gist of it in the Ambients whitepaper, but Mike Masnick does much better job in their article to dig deep into why we're in trouble with the platform-thinking!

In short, this is exactly why we created the Ambients protocol: to decouple users, data and applications from the platforms. Learn more about Ambients from ambients.org

Recently, we at Haja Networks published the Ambients protocol medium.com/@hajanetworks/…. For me, this has been exciting times because it's a continuation of the work that OrbitDB has pioneered over the years and the logical, needed next step for the decentralized web AND...

4) In Ambients, the computation moves where the data is. For example, a database query (program) is sent to the database as opposed to downloading the database to where the query is run. This is key to realize the full potential of "cloud computing" and the decentralized web.
