Following the directives of EAC Sectoral Council of Ministers of Health, the EAC Medical Councils carried out the Joint Re-Inspection of Uzima University, School of Medicine in the Republic of Kenya from 25th to 29th November, 2024 and its teaching Hospitals.

Uzima University, School of Medicine meets the minimum requirements for training medical students as provided in the East African Community, Regional guidelines for Inspection and Recognition of Medical Schools and Teaching Hospitals in EAC Partner States.

Today January 6th, 2025 during the EAC meeting in Mombasa/Republic of Kenya: The EAC Protocol on the Movement of Health Professionals is part of a broader effort to enhance the mobility of skilled professionals within the Region and contribute to health care systems in the region

This collaboration aims to improve the overall quality of health services within the EAC.

The 1st East African Community (EAC) Ministerial Conference on Common Higher Education Area began at the Munyonyo Resort Hotel in Kampala, Uganda. President of the Republic of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, graced the opening of the conference.
