Goya & Frankenstein. In the “Los Caprichos” series - which Goya began sketching after an illness sparked a burst of manic creativity (1792) - Goya created many monsters & demons. 140 years later one of his images inspired the make-up for Boris Karloff's Frankenstein (1931).
