We’re used to seeing Rory Gallagher with an axe, but he could’ve been good with a sword too, as per this Prince Valiant comic from US artist Thomas Yeates. Part of fab Rory Gallagher exhibition in Cork City Library

Beaut of a jersey from Beamish, the stout of choice for the everyday and the every(wo)man. Retro branding from the archives of Niall McCormack, who designed 'The Dublin Pub' book. Perfect for those summer gigs and will look good in The Hi-B,The Castle Lounge or The Sunflower

Does anyone remember watching The Rimini Riddle? 👀🫣 The RTÉ puppet show followed three siblings who were sent to live with their Aunt Vera in her boarding house after the death of their parents. It aired from 1992 until 1995. #RTEArchives

We are saddened by the passing of William Harrington (1941-2025). Beginning his art studies in our building in 1955, he went on to illustrate Séamus Murphy's Stone Mad, this year's #OneCityOneBook. He is represented in the collection by an ink drawing of Dalton's Avenue (1981).
