Gwen Berry was named the 6A District 6 Player of the Year for 2023! Leading Horizon to a second straight District Championship, she had 258 kills for the year, along with 148 digs (2.1 digs per set).

In our first ever beach volleyball night game, Horizon opens the beach volleyball season with a win over West Orange. Although there were many close set scores, the overall games and pressure point went our way with 4 of 5 pairs winning.

In the later part of the tri-match to open the season, we defeated Harmony High in a sweep. Although there were many close individual sets (like Maria and Stefany winning a close 3rd set at 9:30pm), we finished with all 5 pairs winning our first night matches in program history.

Horizon Beach Volleyball defeated Ocoee at Dr. Phillips Community Park today. It was a sweep, with all 5 pairs winning. The team is off to a good start. This was the 3rd straight win to start the 2024 season.

Horizon Beach Volleyball both lost (Montverde) and won (Tohopekaliga) in a tri-match tonight, finishing under the lights at MVA. With an overall record of 4-1, next up is Olympia at R9 next Thursday.

With the season finished for Horizon Beach Volleyball at a very successful 11-3 record, the team had an end-of-year dinner at Medieval Times. Three players received their first varsity letter. Seniors Cam, Sarah, and Juju shared in their last team event.

Volleyball Camp for 10-14 year old players set for July 22-24, 2-5pm, at Horizon High School’s gym. The QR code links to the registration form. Payment would be accepted on day one of the camp when players arrive.

Horizon girls volleyball defeated Edgewater three games to zero. Game scores: 25–12, 25–10, 25–16. Top performers: Kiera Vasquez with 10 kills and 7 aces. Evelyn Slattery had 11 kills. Maria Rodriguez had 19 assists. Sarah Cintas had 17 assists and 5 kills.

Horizon 2024 Girls Volleyball improves to 9-2 on the season with 5 victories this weekend at the Lake Howell Invitational, held Friday/Saturday at the Game Point Events Center. By winning all five matches, the team took home the gold division trophy.
