Teaching children to spot coercive control is not ideology, it’s basic protection. 🔺 Nearly HALF of teens in relationships report violence or control 🔺 Over 827,000 children in E&W live in homes with domestic abuse Giving them tools to recognise it can and will save lives.

Residentials can be hard work and a lot of responsibility, but this is always outweighed by the benefits. It’s a privilege to spend time with children who give everything their all. Lucked out with this week’s weather too! #PGL

Yesterday, I attended the Buckingham Palace Garden Party, for those working in education and skills. I work, and have worked, with so many incredible people who go above and beyond for children and their families; to be invited to this was both an honour and a privilege.

If you don’t work in a primary school, you might not be able to relate to the deep joy that a tidy and labelled science cupboard brings. Beyond satisfying. 🥰

And once again, the time has come. The end of an era and the start of their new chapter; but they will always belong in our community.

In 1987 my teacher read this book to our class; I’ve never forgotten the experience. I’m reading it again and it’s as brilliant as it was then. Making time for class readers will always happen in our school.
