Saw our daughter, her partner and her dog off early this morning. They’re driving through France, Spain and onto Portugal where they’ll be staying for the next few months 🚘🚇🇫🇷🇪🇸🇵🇹. She’s always flitting off somewhere - I can’t keep up with her! 😎😁

Popped to Waitrose for cake to have with a cuppa as didn’t get chance to bake. Bumped into my lovely mate who was rushed off her feet with grandkids as her kids are moving so only had chance for a quick hug. As I left, a lady said I looked lovely which I thought was so nice 😌.

Went shopping to Marks as haven’t been for months. Absolutely nothing grabbed my attention and there’s usually something I like. Awful clothing and barely anything in the homeware dept which is my fave bit 🙄. Worst of all, they’ve discontinued their farmhouse fruit cake! 😲

Absolutely gutted to hear of the passing of Dame Patricia Routledge 😔. Fantastic actress and lovely lady. We were so chuffed to get tickets to see her last month, but when cancelled last minute then due to be rearranged, I hoped it was nothing serious. Bless you Dame Patricia❤️.

Dame Patricia Routledge, British acting icon whose performances included the formidable Hyacinth Bucket, has died at the age of 96. In 1994 she spoke about her talent for playing strong characters, including her then-current role as Mrs. Malaprop in the play The Rivals.
