Putin is doing everything to stoke the ire of the Ukrainians and the broader international community to tank any chance of a ceasefire. First missiles targeting civilians in Kiev and now admitting military assistance from N. Korean troops.

I’m very worried about Pokrovsk. If Russia is to take it, I hope the Ukrainian soldiers and civilians are able to evacuate with minimal casualties.

Putin would love it if those planes were shot down over Estonian air space — over its territorial waters to be precise. Recruitment bonuses are becoming unaffordable for the Kremlin, so why not stoke national fervor and recruit volunteers who don’t require such high payment?
