Wearing the Pride! CASFOS TRAINING DIARIES

On 29.04.23, OTs of 36th SFS IC CASFOS, Dehradun along with Smt Meenakshi Joshi (IFS) & Dr T Beula EM (IFS) visited Jabarkhet Nature Reserve (OECM site), Mussorrie. Dr Sejal Worah, MD, briefed floristic diversity and participation of local stakeholders rejuvenating degraded Oak forest.

Wednesday is designated as Vehicle Free Day CASFOS, Dehradun. All the Academy staff members commuted to and fro on Bicycle or Foot today to create awareness about adoption of environmentally sustainable & healthy lifestyle.

Under 'Walk For LiFE' as a part of the action plan for Mission LiFE CASFOS, Dehradun, Walkathon was conducted on 11.05.2023 for Officers, Staff & Officer Trainees. It was a 5 km walk through the beautiful verdant campus of F.R.I., Dehradun. #MissionLiFE #ChooseLiFE

OTs of 35th SFS IC of CASFOS, Dehradun visited Myristica Swamp Forest & Madei WL Sanctuary, Goa on Day-13 of SCI Tour. They learned about significance & management practices of swamp forest, role of community participation, challenges in setting up WL Sanctuary, ecotourism activities.

On Day-14 of SCI Tour: OTs of 35th SFS IC CASFOS, Dehradun visited Dr Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Chorao, Goa and learned about various departmental interventions for managing sanctuary. During boat safari, they also learned about avifaunal and mangrove diversity in the sanctuary area.

As a part of the Mission LiFE action plan of CASFOS, Dehradun, the officer Trainees of this Academy performed a Skit (Nukkad Natak) on important environmental issues. They gave a message to adopt an environment-friendly lifestyle in our daily lives. #MissionLiFE #ChooseLiFE

Saddened to share that forest guard Shri Bimal Kumar Jena was killed by poachers in the Similipal Tiger Reserve of Odisha. Jena died in the line of duty trying to protect India’s wildlife. We remain indebted for his sacrifice. May his soul rest in eternal peace. ॐ शांति
