The VIVALDI 3rd General Assembly has officially started! The 2-day meeting, hosted by Novamont in Novara, took off with the welcome from our host and the project coordinator albert guisasola, who gave an overview of the project and the road towards the ambitious objectives set🙌

The meeting jumped into the presentations of the Work Packages, starting with @UFZ_Electric and Avantium, who showcased their progress on #CO2 electroreduction, and scale-up & supply of purified CO2 respectively 👏🏽

The second presentation focused on the improvements done by GENOCOV to the 3-chamber solution for ammonia recovery, and by @leitat on the bioelectrochemical reactor for nitrogen recovery as feedstock for fermentation processes. 💧♻️

Round 3 was dedicated to the #yeast #fermentation process for the #CO2, methanol & FA conversion to added-value organic acid. BOKU University, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and UFZ teams presented the performance improvements and the CO2 reduction & fermentation integration in a single reactor🎯

After the networking lunch, in the last presentation of the day CO₂ Value Europe showcased the latest communication & dissemination activities, how the VIVALDI network is growing and ways to further engage with all key stakeholders 🤝🏼 Stay tuned for the upcoming events!

Yesterday, we closed the day with the visit of our kind guest for this 2-day General Assembly Novamont, who prepared a tour of their #research & #development facilities based in Novara. What an inspiring visit to understand how innovative & future-proof #bioplastics are made 👨🏾‍🔬

The second and last day of the VIVALDI General Assembly 2024 kicked off with a presentation led by Processium Company and Novamont, who presented the #downstream, industrial validation and applications of the CO2-based organic acids produced in the project 👏🏾

The morning continued with Jorge Senan Salinas and Dianella Garro Espinoza, experts at BETA Tech Center, who delved into the sustainable and environmental life cycle analysis (#LCA) of the entire VIVALDI process, giving us a comprehensive overview 💫

Last but not least, Elvira Serra showcased exploitation & replicability opportunities, and business models for VIVALDI techs & products 🚀 CO₂ Value Europe completed the overview with an analysis of the EU policy framework and how it influences the #CCU deployment in Europe 🇪🇺
