North Yorkshire Council This is great but we have been highlighting the poor state of the Borogate toilets in Helmsley especially the disabled access one for a number of years and Ryedale D.C. kept delaying action - maybe NYC will finally do something to improve basic facilities as well as these?

Disappointing to hear from a resident that they’ve been told by North Yorkshire Council “we have a lot of bridges to repair and have no resources for this currently” How much revenue do the Council scoop up from car parking fees in Helmsley but can’t repair a dangerous fallen bridge?

“How it started… how it’s going” North Yorkshire Council We had high hopes that the “new” council would take better care about our special town but haven’t seen anything yet and now this! Hope no-one will feature the bridge on calendars etc in 2025 in this abandoned broken state
