Last day for Vishakha Vishwakarma. She was brave enough to join my brand new lab as the 1st student 6 yrs ago and has been a dream student for a PI. She is starting a new adventure as postdoc in the Weinstein lab at NIH to study zebrafish/cavefish development. Wish her all the best!

Thanks to the amazing expertise of Wes Warren and colleagues, generous funding from Stowers Institute and NIH we have now genomes from multiple cavefish and surface fish populations that even surpass the quality of the zebrafish genome. 🍾👏 academic.oup.com/g3journal/adva…

What if you could deliver molecular tools directly into oocytes without microinjection? In our new paper, online today Development (doi.org/10.1242/dev.20…), we introduce VitelloTag, a new cargo delivery tool to enable injection-free genome editing. 👇Read on for a short 🧵
