The preservation of land in national parks is America's best idea. It took an heroic struggle to keep this pristine wilderness from being deforested and turned into cheap hotels. But we're governed by people who value profit over beauty. Once they're gone, they're gone.

The crazy part is, those one million acres of land that are mandated to be sold can't even be selected by the people or their respective states. The bill states it's up to the sole discretion of the Secretary of Interior - an unelected bureaucrat. This whole thing stinks.
