I’m so grateful to be able to spend my summer doing bug bounty instead of working a typical student job.

Weekly update 3 : I did a bit of learning, but not as much as I would’ve liked. The week flew by, and I spent very little time on other programs. Reports this week : 4 on my main program — 3 triaged (1×P1, 2×P2) — 1 new (1×P3)

I'm going to open a can of worms: No one benefits from “bug hunter influencers” who spread misinformation by showcasing reports that will end up as Info or N/A. We all have our beginnings and a lot to learn, yes, but don’t mislead others. You can fool people, but not yourself.

Bounty fever is real. Since bounties by design is a high risk / high reward game, where all the hardworking hours required to identify a bug itself isn’t enough. you will also need to create a clear and non disputable report of the finding, including a poc (preferably a video)

The new bugcrowd leaderboard is really nice. I was ranked 1st in Canada for July, both overall (all severities) and for just P1–P2 submissions. I’m also 11th all-time in Canada and 19th worldwide for July!

Is it just me or Bugcrowd triage is slow right now
