Love how unceremonious the Wirtz announcement was. No needless fluff aka 2 minute MTV-like hype shenanigans. Just the usual and ordinary stuff. We may play heavy metal football but we don’t present players like rockstars.

Florian Wirtz always made perfect sense for us in every way from an on-pitch perspective. The only question marks were 1) would we go well beyond £100m and 2) would he pick us above the likes of Bayern. LFC played a blinder. He'll be worth every penny and then some.

A sentiment I very much share. Wirtz’s greatest strength is his intelligence.
