Just turned 22. You should send me pictures of cool rocks. Here's some cool rocks from Fezouata, Morocco: Undescribed horseshoe crab (oldest in fossil record) Undescribed marrellomorph ("Furca mauretanica") Platypeltoides carmenae (slightly large than my other one)

New Paper -> Comment on: Omnidens appendages and the origin of radiodont mouthparts Are there really 2 species of Omnidens? I comment on the organization of the mouth of this Cambrian apex predator, and argue there is only one species, Omnidens amplus onlinelibrary.wiley.com/share/author/F…

This is Dibango, an incredibly bizarre percomorph fish which retained juvenile features into adulthood, from the lower Eocene aged Monte bolca lagerstätte in Italy that recently benefitted from a re-description. #paleoart #paleontology #eocene

Mosura fentoni, a new Burgess Shale radiodont named after the kaiju Mothra. This hurdiid had a specialized abdominal region of the trunk dedicated mostly to respiration, rather than swimming.

Female Typithorax performing apophallation on a male to plug the cloaca from unwanted suitors, or female-mimicking male neutering a competitor? Or just me trying to explain the mysterious cloacal spike osteoderms on this Triassic aetosaur :B

Restoration of Amplectobelua stephenensis, a modest sized radiodont from the Burgess Shale. This species is only known from frontal appendages, so most of the anatomy is based on the larger, more complete species A. trispinata. #paleoart #paleontology #cambrian
