Apparently it’s a whole different menu than the Members Dining Room, EXCEPT for the House bean soup which is the same, and allegedly a secret recipe.

The US Capitol has a new eatery called The Hideaway that it advertised like a speakeasy. But actually, it's just... whatever this is.

Okay live on the scene for the Hideaway’s opening. A bit disappointing for all the speakeasy-like hype - it’s literally just a pick-up spot for carryout food directly beside the Members’ Dining Room.

No one to take your order, you just have to order from an app called Everyday.

A little bit more info on the background of the Hideaway, which is that the room where the new carryout is has been used previously as a storeroom, Members’ bathing room (😬) and for the Committee on Printing.

And yes the coffee is the same as Cannon coffee cart! Now open today.

The case is remanded to a lower court. Barring any new decision from them, the ban is enforceable in 14 days. The implications are tremendous.
