Excited to start archival research this month on Indian women's pioneering periodical fashion journalism in late colonial India! Funded by the Pasold Research Fund research activity grant ✍️👗

This year’s Colby Lecturer at #RSVP24 is Andrew Hobbs. Dr. Andrew Hobbs was the 2019 winner of the RSVP Colby Book Prize for his work, A Fleet Street in Every Town: The Provincial Press in England, 1855 - 1900.

Another year, another lovely Research Society for Victorian Periodicals (RSVP) conference in Stirling 🏴 Such a brilliant community of scholars, I always come away with the most encouraging words and constructive feedback on my periodicals research ☺️

Three women reading together - one holds the book while two others eagerly peek! From Maharashtra Mahila, Marathi periodical that began publication in 1901. Many thanks to Tarini Bhamburkar for sharing this with me! She found the periodical at the Mumbai Marathi Grantha Sangrahalaya.

Wrote a little piece for the Bloomsbury Literary Studies & Creative Writing blog! bloomsburyliterarystudiesblog.com/2024/10/findin…
