Eurovaalijulkisuus on toistaiseksi keskittynyt ehdolla oleviin henkilöihin, yleensä entisiin tai nykyisiin kansanedustajiin, tai puolueiden nuoriin kykyihin. Tuolileikkimäisessä hengessä. Asioita ja prosesseja ei juurikaan käsitellä. Onko ihme, jos vaalit ei kiinnosta?

Kirjoitin Laurin kanssa lyhyen pätkän siitä, millaisena äänestäjien, päättäjien ja suomalaisen politiikan aikaperspektiivit näyttäytyvät tuoreiden aineistojemme valossa. Politiikan tekemisen suhteen tulevaisuus näyttää vähän haastavalta.

Politiikan sisäpiiriläiset puolustavat lobbareiden asemaa hallitusneuvotteluissa mm. asiantuntijuuteen vetoamalla. Sitä heillä varmasti piisaa, mutta ei se sitä miksikään muuta, että kyse on edunvalvonnasta. Toisaalta mistäpä muustakaan hallitusneuvotteluissa olisi kyse.
