She flew low down the length of the marsh and it looked like she wouldn’t have the altitude to get over the small hill at the end. But she didn’t want to fly over the hill! Instead, this female mallard was all in on powering through the curve! 🪶

The quiet and rather forlorn Willow Street lift-bridge over the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland, Ohio. This bridge takes one to Whiskey Island at the mouth of the river. We shot this amazing old bridge at golden hour earlier in August, and the sun never disappoints.
