In 1864 pastor Juris Neikens brought together 6 local choirs in Dikļi in what was the forerunner of the Latvian Song and Dance Festival. It has gathered pace since then. More than 40,000 participants, including 300 from 🇬🇧 will celebrate Dziesmu svētki in the upcoming days.
