A tornado watch has been issued for parts of Oklahoma and Texas until 5 AM CST

Coverage of thunderstorms on Friday remains in question. If and where storms form, they will move quickly. Severe weather is only expected through a short window of time (about 4 pm to 10 pm Friday). Storms will move west to east, and severe risk increases to the east.

An EF-2 tornado with peak winds of 120 mph started 4 miles SE of Doolittle and tracked northeast through southeastern portions of Rolla. The tornado crossed I-44 before lifting just south of the Little Prairie Conservation area.
