A good night. WGPR History and Detroit NABJ Black History Month program was not only entertaining, it was also insightful with a provocative panel of journalists discussing the state of journalism in Detroit and whether all are being equitable served by local media. #NABJ Headquarters βœŠπŸΎπŸ–ŠοΈπŸŽ™οΈπŸ’» πŸ“· πŸŽ₯ πŸ“ πŸ”ˆ

First met Kenny when I was a cub reporter at the Atlanta Daily World and he was in town for ABC News covering the missing and murdered children's case in 1981-82. He was the consummate journalist and good people. Later, we'd meet up again working in our hometown -- D.C. Rest well. #NABJ Headquarters βœŠπŸΎπŸ–ŠοΈπŸŽ™οΈπŸ’» πŸ“· πŸŽ₯ πŸ“ πŸ”ˆ

NABJ, along with our Washington Association of Black Journalists (WABJ) affiliate chapter, is particularly concerned about the representation and retention of Black journalists at The Washington Post.

A ❀️ thanks to Felecia D. Henderson, my "buyout buddy," who finally convinced me to go do something for my birthday, which was Aug. 23. She got me out Sunday to see "Highest 2 Lowest" at the Emagine Theatres Palladium followed by dinner outside at Terra Kitchen & Cocktails in Birmingham, MI
