A busy & proud weekend for the Bands of the Royal Marines Volunteer Cadet Corps! Friday: Performed at HMS Excellent RNVCC Pass Out Parade—welcoming new recruits in true musical style.

Saturday: Bands of the Royal Marines Volunteer Cadet Corps played at the Association of Wrens Reunion Dinner at the Royal Maritime Hotel, Portsmouth. Honoured to meet guest of honour Penny Mordaunt, who spoke with cadets & posed for photos.

Sunday: The Corps of Drums took the stage at the Kings Theatre for Proms at The Kings: A VE Day Celebration—WWII classics, patriotic tunes & marches. Compered by local legend Fred Dinenage, who met the cadets at the interval!

Yesterday HMS Sultan RNVCC honoured 100 war graves at Ann’s Hill Cemetery at a service for #VEDay80. Later, Lt Cdr (VCC) Regional Officer (South) cadets took part in a special service at Winchester Cathedral, marking 80 years of peace. On 18 May, Portsmouth Division RMVCC joined the RMA Portsmouth Branch for the Falklands Service at the RM Memorial Gardens.
