One of the big pain points with using Lightning Network is that the interactive nature of the protocol requires you to be online in order to receive a payment.

That problem is being solved via the development of an async payments protocol. 👏🏻

It’s time bitcoin had a way to specify human-readable names for payment instructions.

LN Address has demonstrated the utility of such names, but it’s time to take it beyond just lightning and remove the dependence on HTTPS/CAs.
