Informative and very good presentations by Nursing Representatives in Leinster House to mark International Nurses’ Day. Many challenges for Members of this hardworking and committed profession, nationally and internationally.

CGH recently held Arts & Health Awareness Days along with HSE Healthy Ireland, Creative Ireland, Cavan Co Council Arts Office, Réalta & local artists. Two staff-created paintings from the workshops are proudly displayed in the hospital’s main corridor.

Interns started in Cavan Hospital Cavan & Monaghan Hospital this July solidifying the hospitals position as a teaching hospital. Special thanks to Brendan Smith who brought this up in Dail Eireann on several occasions without him interns in Cavan simply would not have happened!
