A very large haul of litter, much of it long embedded in the brambles or from recent storms. Great to meet the Vale of Glamorgan employees who arrived just as we were finishing. And as to the person who tossed a banana skin after their run. The bin wasn’t very far away! Shame!

It was great to meet Martin from Welcome to Our Woods at Penpych waterfall yesterday. A brilliant initiative by Ramblers Cymru 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 with funding from Postcode Lottery . Excellent work by this group caring for their local area.

Great to be out this morning clearing and litter picking around the Ely River Cardiff/Vale with the South East Wales Rivers Trust.

The first two Paths to Prosperity Project gates were installed last Friday thanks to the wonderful Welshpool volunteer group!🛠🥾 5 volunteers and a Powys CC access officer helped improve access in the countryside, so we can all enjoy the outdoors.
