Our short video on dreaming and memory consolidation has now been added to the Nature Portfolio science in shorts library. A great collaboration with @StarryGene youtu.be/9uLpKiD6qCU Donders Institute Donders Sleep & Memory Lab #sleeppeeps
We completed data collection on our Registered Report on Dreaming and Memory Consolidation! It was an enormous effort across 1.5 years, during which I spent over 1100 hours in the lab in 108 sleepless nights. Our paper establishing closed loop auditory stimulation in mice models of neurodegeneration is out! We also show that mCLAS prompts the acute alleviation of some disease-associated sleep phenotypes by potentiating sleep regulation and consolidation 💤 onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/js…

Interesting new study by Prof Derk-Jan Dijk & Valeria Jaramillo finds brain waves can be manipulated whilst in REM sleep. The research could pave the way for a new approach to treat dementia, by speeding up brain activity which becomes slower during REM👉buff.ly/4en8riB
Really excited to become an Emerging Leader within the UK Dementia Research Institute! Thank you so much for this opportunity and support! 😊
And more good news: Our paper on modulating REM sleep alpha and theta oscillations using CLAS has been published in SLEEP! Great to see this work from my Swiss National Science Foundation Postdoc Mobility fellowships at the @uniofsurrey out! 🎉 doi.org/10.1093/sleep/…
Amazing opportunity to do a postdoc at King‘s College London with Ines Violante! Exciting project in an exciting city and with a great mentor!

New paper alert! 🎉 Our findings 👇 on the relationship between performance fatigability and deep sleep oscillations are now out in the Journal of Sleep Research onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/js… Thankful to have worked on this with such a great team 👇 More of my PhD work coming soon!
