I keep forgetting to ever post any photos here, favouring mostly putting them on eBird instead. But here’s some Dipper photos from yesterday evening, just over the border in Scotland. A pleasure to watch them coming and going feeding in the white water.

Couple days ago I finished guiding early summer birding tour for Oriole Birding . Over 180 sp. seen including 2 daylight Ural Owls, Pygmy Owl, 3 WB Woodpeckers, Black and Three-toed WP, first class views of the Barred, Greenish and Booted Warblers, Corncrake and Great Snipes.

A quite unexpected start to the day finding this Great Reed Warbler at Fairburn. Even more exciting to find out it was a 1st for the reserve! It made for tricky viewing, rarely showing in the dense reeds, not helped by the wind RSPB RSPB Fairburn Ings and RSPB St Aidan’s BirdGuides
