Belarusians have always opposed Russia's aggression, just like they oppose the Russia-backed dictatorial regime in the country. Lukashenka knows Ukraine's victory would spell the end of his rule, which is why his regime punishes Belarusians for showing solidarity with Ukraine 💔

📅 On this day in 1991, Belarus became independent. Today, thousands remain imprisoned for resisting dictatorship and its sponsors in the Kremlin. But Belarusians have not given up. The struggle continues, and Belarus will be free and European.

A family – Henadz Saurytski, Iryna Saurytskaya & Viyaleta Viarbitskaya – were sentenced to 5 years in prison each in Belarus. Why? In 2020, they recorded a video urging the police to stop violence against peaceful protestors. The three were added to the “terrorist list.”

The regime in Belarus has arrested Yahor Buzhylau, production director of the jewelry brand Belaruskicry. Belaruskicry was labeled an "extremist formation" a month ago. Why? It designed Belarus-themed accessories loved by many Belarusians in exile. Repression continues.

Librarian Iryna Kishkurno, 63, from Minsk, is serving 2 years in prison in Belarus. She never committed crimes – she simply was a member of a Telegram chat critical of the regime. 💔 Iryna feels abandoned & struggles in prison. Let's send her letters. dissidentby.com/en/prisoners/i…

The scale of repression in Belarus is far greater than reported. Rights groups confirm 53 arrests in the Hajun case, yet, as of now, 250+ are already detained in Homiel region alone. Thousands more may be at risk nationwide. The regime hides it – but we must not look away.

Today marks 1000 days behind bars for journalist Larysa Shchyrakova in Belarus. She once organized cultural events & promoted Belarusian culture, inspiring many at home & abroad. Even after leaving journalism, the regime jailed her on false charges. Larysa must be free.

📚🎒 Today, on Knowledge Day, students in Belarus return to classes and teachers to their schools. But many spend this day behind bars – just for speaking out, protesting, or simply commenting on a social media post. Freedom to students, teachers, and all political prisoners!

Belarusian political prisoner Alena Malinouskaya was supposed to be freed after nearly 4 years in prison. Instead, she was taken from the prison straight into custody & hit with new charges – despite having a minor child. The regime continues repression & keeps people jailed.

Political prisoners in Belarus must be released immediately & unconditionally. Their jailing is unlawful and unjust. Repression destroys lives and puts people's health at grave risk. Every day behind bars is one too many. The regime must end this cruelty.

Today, Maksim Znak spends his birthday behind bars in Belarus for the 5th year. What he did was support an independent candidate at the 2020 presidential election & inspire people to defend their rights peacefully. It's been more than 2 years since we last heard from Maksim 💔

🎓 21-year-old student Alina Shautsova has been sent to prison in Belarus. Her “crime”? Joining a women’s leadership school – an educational project to help students grow. The regime labeled it an “extremist group” and put Alina behind bars.

32 foreign nationals remain behind bars in Belarus. Despite recent “pardons,” foreigners are still targeted, including citizens of Poland, the UK, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia & others. Since 2020, at least 88 foreigners have faced persecution, many also inhumane treatment.

Reports from other inmates say Andrei was often thrown into solitary confinement and deprived of parcels. The former prison chief, Aliaksei Lazarenka, beat him. This tragedy should never have happened. The regime must be brought to accountability.

It is now confirmed that activist Andrey Podnebennyi died by suicide in prison. His unfair imprisonment, inhumane conditions, and constant pressure may have pushed him to this tragic step. No one should be driven to death in prison. This cruelty must end. Freedom for all!

💔 Half a year ago, Maryia Kalesnikava’s family received her last letter after 2 years in isolation – just a few lines. For over 2.5 years, she has had no lawyer, no calls, no parcels. She remains under strict control in prison. Maryia must be free.
