GPT/AI kind of rules for personal tech support. Snap a screenshot of the model/version info, tell it to grab model specific instructions to fix something and skip the awful knowledge bases. Sometimes even tell it to search Reddit for tips, works even better.

I know they'd never and it's in poor taste but...while Apple figures iPads out I would be totally satisfied with having iPadOS on an iPad Pro that switches to macOS whenever you connect a keyboard.

I have reviewed about 250-300 design candidates in the last three weeks. I would guess that I have to search for their work 50% the time. If I do happen to find a portfolio site (maybe slightly over 50% of the time I actually can), half of THOSE require a password I don’t have.

Dan is spot on here. The most helpful and straightforward framework I've found for going from data -> action is: - What? - So What? - Now What? Makes it easy for teams to discuss/align on what they heard/observed, what it meant, and what you should do about it.

1) If we were wildly successful this half, what’s the ideal outcome for customers using our product? The point of target metrics is to keep ourselves accountable to doing our best for customers, and in turn, the business. Any metric will be a proxy; THIS is the real goal.

Friends don't let friends create resumes in Figma, export the pdfs, then send the resumes out. Figma pdf's will not score well on ATS systems fwiw.

Yes, college students have lost their ability to read. I have taught lit for 24 years; the threshold started to decline in the late aughts and nosedived during Covid. A thread with observations + how I get my students to read ALL (or at least most) of the reading I assign: 🧵

OK, let me solve American "economic anxiety" very quickly. I'm gonna sort it out for you in less than ten tweets and then you won't have that excuse anymore. You ready? Here goes. The cause is capitalism and greed. That's it. Nothing else. Just that.
