The 2024 expedition to Greenland held over the last month has ended, and our researchers returned to Uppsala. Their work in the field involved searching for fossils from our early land-living relatives, and the animals and plants they shared the world with in the Devonian era.

Great day for Mesozoic amphibians: tadpoles from the Jurassic stem-frog Notobatrachus show early origin of anuran metamorphosis. This is a fantastic fossil (look at those cranial nerves!) and highly consequential for amphibian origins research. nature.com/articles/s4158…
