My delayed thanks to @PfChiefRobledo & Pflugerville Police for recently recognizing UT Austin Police Department Cpl. Vivian Benavides for his helping to lead PPD to the arrest of multiple suspects who had just robbed a department store and pepper-sprayed an employee.
Thank you Greg Abbott for supporting UT Austin students and Austin Police Department! I continue to look forward to working with our partners Texas DPS in keeping our entire community safe.
As we finish our build out of the new UT Austin Police Department satellite office in “west campus,” we were pleased to show off the space to our Texas DPS partners. Our new office will be a place we can collaborate with our partners to enhance the overall safety of the off campus community!
Our thoughts and prayers go to our Houston Police brothers and sisters in blue, Chief Art Acevedo and the families of Sergeant Harold Preston, who was fatally shot, and Officer Courtney Waller who was also shot but reportedly in stable condition this morning. May God bless!
I enjoyed chatting with Mike Warren ref west campus concerns. Our Texas DPS partners are now meeting at our unfinished satellite office to coordinate area patrols with us. We are both committed to supporting Austin Police Department and the entire off campus UT Austin community.
We UT Austin Police Department standing by for, and with you gentlemen! #HookEm 🤘
Our good friends and partners TxDPS - Capitol Region meeting with us this evening. We are all out there for our community to insure all are safe on this election night.
All our LE & Safety partners ready for Texas Longhorns football!
Another sad day for our Houston Police brothers and sisters in blue. Please take a moment to remember those lost and their families.
