My delayed thanks to @PfChiefRobledo & Pflugerville Police for recently recognizing UT Austin Police Department Cpl. Vivian Benavides for his helping to lead PPD to the arrest of multiple suspects who had just robbed a department store and pepper-sprayed an employee.

As we finish our build out of the new UT Austin Police Department satellite office in “west campus,” we were pleased to show off the space to our Texas DPS partners. Our new office will be a place we can collaborate with our partners to enhance the overall safety of the off campus community!

Our thoughts and prayers go to our Houston Police brothers and sisters in blue, Chief Art Acevedo and the families of Sergeant Harold Preston, who was fatally shot, and Officer Courtney Waller who was also shot but reportedly in stable condition this morning. May God bless!

I enjoyed chatting with Mike Warren ref west campus concerns. Our Texas DPS partners are now meeting at our unfinished satellite office to coordinate area patrols with us. We are both committed to supporting Austin Police Department and the entire off campus UT Austin community.

I and my fellow peace officers are again proud to serve you as our government once again begins to peacefully transition power... the world continues to watch in awe our ability for having done so for the past 244 years. After all we are “One Nation Under God.”

My sincere thanks and gratitude to all US Military Vets. You unite and inspire us far beyond the politics that currently distracts and troubles our nation. Your service & sacrifice guides your nation’s “finest” who seek to emulate and live up to your standards. #VeteransDay2020

Today we Miami PD pause to mourn the loss of Trooper Febles. We are lifting his family, friends, and his FHP Miami colleagues in prayer. May they find comfort in the knowledge that Trooper Febles lived a life well lived and will never be forgotten. RIP 🙏🏼
