My essay on Anti-Palestinian Racism is out today as the Leading online article of the Financial Times Magazine. It is a big moment for me as Palestinian woman to speak up about this in such a public way. 🧵 "Coming out as Palestinian" on.ft.com/3vIASGO

I don’t care to ask for crumbs from a celebrity 8 months in, but hard not to feel something seeing that Mohamed Salah jersey on the back of a young Palestinian boy mourning his slaughtered sister. The most known & recognized Muslim/Arab and all he’s committed to is getting his bag.

Earlier this week I visited Windsor Castle to receive my MBE in recognition of supporting young people and my ongoing academic research. I feel honoured and it still feels like a “pinch me” moment. Thank you to all my family and friends for their ongoing love and support 🎖️🎖️🎖️

"The only moral thing Palestinian civilians can do apparently is to die. The only legal thing the rest of us can do is to watch them die. And be silent. If not, we risk our scholarships, grants, lecture fees & livelihoods." - Arundhati Roy

My older sister, who is sheltering at a church in Gaza, told me today that the mosque next to them provides them with water from their well, and the church provides the mosque with electricity when it can generate it and food to the Muslims' neighbors. This is our Palestine 🇵🇸

I don’t want to post these images, I don’t want to display continuous suffering of the Palestinians. This beautiful people do not deserve this absurdity. Stop the violence, stop Israeli irresponsible behaviour. Stop this collective trauma. Do not normalise violence.#ceasfirenow

I am increasingly convinced the *major* source of publication bias is journals (editor-referee combination), not scientists. All serious scientists would love to publish all their work, even nulls. Goes in the file drawer because authors anticipate rejection.
