Today we honor Private Thomas P. Fogarty, whose service tragically ended on August 6, 1941. Private Fogarty served with the United States Park Police for 25 years and will always be remembered.

Today we honor Private Milo J. Kennedy, whose service tragically ended on August 7, 1932. Private Kennedy served with the United States Park Police for 5 years and will always be remembered.

Officers in our New York Field Office spent the day at the Statue of Liberty with the next generation of law enforcement leaders. Summer vacation is always an exciting time in the parks we patrol, and we wish all the students heading back to school a great year!

Yesterday, Eagle 1 worked with ground resources to rescue a hiker with a lower leg injury along the Potomac River. The officers that serve in our Aviation Unit provide quick access to emergency medical care to communities throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area.

This week, USPP instructors are teaching a police mountain bike class to our new officers. Once the officers pass this class, they will use these new skills to patrol the #iconic sites we protect.
