Gisteren had ik de eer om olympisch legende Anthony Nesty te verwelkomen op de Amerikaanse ambassade. We bespraken de viering van 50 jaar onafhankelijkheid van Suriname en hoe we de banden tussen onze twee landen kunnen versterken.

Yesterday, I had the honor of welcoming Olympic legend Anthony Nesty to the U.S. Embassy. We discussed the celebrations of Suriname's 50 years of independence and how we can strengthen the connections between our two countries.

Ik was er trots op een delegatie van het Congres onder leiding van Congreslid Rick Crawford te mogen ontvangen tijdens hun bezoek aan Suriname voor een dinerbijeenkomst met president Santokhi en minister Ramdin om onze bilaterale relatie en toekomstige samenwerking te bespreken.

I was proud to host a Congressional delegation headed by Congressman Rick Crawford during their visit in Suriname for a dinner meeting with President Santokhi and Minister Ramdin to discuss our bilateral relationship and future cooperation.

Today, on National Foreign Service Day, we honor the dedication of our Foreign Service colleagues in Suriname and worldwide. At the U.S. Embassy in Paramaribo, we remembered the U.S. diplomats who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. Their bravery inspires us all.

Vandaag, op Nationale Buitenlandservice Dag, eren we de toewijding van onze collega's in Suriname en wereldwijd. Bij de Amerikaanse ambassade in Paramaribo herinnerden we de diplomaten die het ultieme offer brachten voor ons land. Hun moed inspireert ons allemaal.

On May 7 I had the honor of being part of the closing ceremony of the Las Vegas Police – KPS training. I am proud to support efforts to strengthen KPS’s capabilities in crisis management and maintaining public order. Together, we’re building a safer Suriname!

Op 7 mei had ik de eer om deel te nemen aan de slotceremonie van de training van de Las Vegas Police – KPS. Ik ben er trots op dat ik mijn steentje kan bijdragen aan het versterken van de capaciteiten van KPS op het gebied van crisismanagement en handhaving van de openbare orde.
