A new chapter begins for PH-Turkmenistan relations with our inaugural political consultations on 2 Aug. Together with my co-chair, Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Gurbanov, we discussed prospects for cooperation in energy, trade, maritime, ports management & multilateral issues.

Today, I received the farewell call of Sweden in Manila Amb. Annika Thunborg. PH-Sweden engagements deepened during her short time in PH, including high-level visits, cooperation in the economic & defense sectors, assistance to Mindanao & support for UNCLOS and the Arbitral Award.

I was honored to join President Bongbong Marcos in receiving Michael McCaul and Joe Wilson today. The visit allowed us to reaffirm our commitment to the robust PH-U.S. alliance as we aspire for a peaceful, stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.

As co-chairs of the 6th Philippines-Colombia Bilateral Consultation Mechanism, I explored w/ Cancillería Colombia ViceMin @JorgeRojas2022 how to enhance our South-South cooperation in peace & reconciliation, trade, agriculture, science & technology, DRRM & people-to-people exchanges.

Today, I joined ASEAN colleagues for the Senior Officials' Meeting in the heritage town of Luang Prabang, Lao PDR to prepare for the ASEAN Summits and Related Summits in October.

Taking the opportunity to express my appreciation to the remarks made by Australia, India, Japan, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, and US expressing concern with regard to recent incidents in the South China Sea, inc in the Sabina Shoal on 19 Aug 2024 at the Preparatory EAS SOM.

Always a pleasure to meet with my Australian counterpart, H.E. Michelle Chan to discuss issues of common concern and further advance PH-Australia cooperation within ASEAN on the sidelines of the Preparatory EAS Senior Officials' Meeting in Luang Prabang.

Touched based with France in the PH 🇫🇷🇵🇭 Amb. Marie Fontanel 🇨🇵🇵🇭 to take stock of vibrant Philippines🇵🇭-France🇫🇷 bilateral relations and welcome our increasing engagements. I congratulated France for the successful hosting of the Paris #Olympics and #Paralympics.

Had an interesting discussion with Catherine McIntosh on stepping up PH-NZ and ASEAN-NZ relations. Things are looking bright as we prepare to celebrate 60 years of 🇵🇭 🇳🇿 relations in 2026.

I received Indian Ambassador-designate Harsh K Jain this morning and we had a lengthy talk about the forthcoming Policy Consultations and Strategic Dialogue in New Delhi. We both looked forward to having fruitful outcomes from the two meetings.
