Congratulations to all of the newly elected Labour MPs on this historic day. I’m very proud to see Usdaw colleagues  Tracy Gilbert MP , @MJWheeler85 , and Connor Rand MP elected and I know that they will make absolutely excellent MPs.

Retail staff work incredibly hard day in, day out and are key to the success of our economy and society. That’s why we’re celebrating National Retail Workers’ Day on 13 July, to thank them for the vital role they play in our communities. #NRWD24

It is shameful that individuals and groups have used the horrific events that took place in Southport to whip up fear and further a far-right agenda. Our thoughts are with the victims of the Southport attacks and their loved ones. (2/6)

Many Usdaw members working in these towns and cities will be feeling intimidated and unsafe when travelling to and from work, and in their workplaces, where they are serving their communities. (3/6)

We have been working with employers to ensure that guidance and support is in place for our members at this very worrying time. (4/6)
