No vessels may enter within 1000 feet of the Holland Tunnel ventilator. Vessels may transit the Hudson River slowly on the New York side with permission of on-scene assets between pier 25 and pier 46.

The Coast Guard continues to enforce the safety zone around the crash site. The Coast Guard is working with the Army Corps of Engineers and the National Transportation Safety Board to salvage the helicopter.

#BREAKING: U.S. Coast Guard Station New Haven rescued 2 people from a downed aircraft, southeast of the Thimble Islands, near Branford, Connecticut. The 2 people were in stable condition and were taken to the Stony Creek Pier for EMS support. More info pending.

The Mexican tall ship Cuauhtémoc will be towed from Brooklyn to Staten Island today to continue repairs. Three tugboats from Donjon Marine will tow the ship, with Coast Guard and NYPD escorting. All vessels transiting in the vicinity are requested to do so at slowest safe speed.

The Mexican tall ship Cuauhtémoc has arrived at Caddell Dry Dock and Repair Co. in Staten Island, where it will undergo further repairs. USCG Sector New York coordinated closely with the Mexican Navy, Donjon Marine, NYPD, and NYC officials to ensure a safe towing operation.

#HappeningNow: CG Sector New York received a report from the Jersey Fireboat Task Force of an overturned vessel with 7 people in the water near Chelsea Piers. It was reported a Good Samaritan pulled all 7 people out of the water. The Coast Guard did not respond to the incident.
