(last was 2017)

It's 757 pages long... so I've barely scratched the surface.

But, found these producer stats interesting:

→ 1.9 million farms
→ 880.1 million acres
→ 3.37 million producers

Producers By Age:

→ 300 thousand younger…

The Beef Checkoff program provides $275,000 to the North American Meat Institute 'to increase consumers’ discovery and trust in veal.'

For the week ending 1/20/2024, over half of the total pounds of veal meat available was imported.

Today, Secretary Tom Vilsack announced a pilot program to make accessing carcass quality grades – such as Prime, Choice, and Select – available and affordable for small and mid-sized processors.
