Unless there is a public joint pronouncement by both TPLF and FANO about "contested territories," I don't believe it is in the interest of Amharas to work with TPLF! Time will bear this out but clearly, one group is playing the other!

Agreed!! What worries me is Loss of ENDF is in no uncertain terms a conflagration and dissolution of the Ethiopian state as we currently know it. On the other hand, a victory would grant Abiy and by extension oromo nationalists uncontested power to remake the Ethiopian state.
