Not quite what we imagined but I’ve reached the end of my rotations on the Wellcome QBB PhD programme. It’s been a brilliant year and I can’t wait to begin my PhD in The Ashe lab. I’m grateful for everything I’ve learnt and the support I’ve received, bring on the next 3 yrs!

1. One of the most delightful surprising things I learned as I progressed through my scientific training was realising that storytelling was a major & essential part of being a scientist. Whether writing papers, grants, or presenting a poster/talk, storytelling was a core skill.

Congrats Ben + Adampickard1 on their nanoluciferase procollagen quantification paper accepted in Cells (mdpi.com/journal/cells). A bright and shining start to my day 😀. Will NLuc replace GFP as the tag of choice? (Being controversial on Monday!) Let the debate begin.
