in crazed early morning screed, the president announces "I am going to lead a movement to get rid of MAIL-IN BALLOTS, and also, while we’re at it, Highly “Inaccurate,” Very Expensive, and Seriously Controversial VOTING MACHINES"

Literally he’s saying “I can do a special redistrict in Texas but if California tries to do the same we will sue.” Republicans have ceased to make any sense

This is an utterly farcical state of affairs - the ONS are now unable to produce accurate jobs, trade, inflation or retail sales figures! It's nothing short of a disgrace. They *literally* have one job, and are failing at almost every aspect of it.

President Trump can sign whatever executive order he wants to sign — but it won't change the Constitution. And according to our Constitution, the authority to set our election rules belongs to the states. We will protect mail in ballots in Pennsylvania.

There is arguably no greater American story of success, brightness, and the future than Black Americans' survival and triumphs in the face of slavery, Jim Crow, and their ongoing repercussions. You don't want stories on those subjects; you want to flip the heroes and villains.

The White House has a secret blacklist of U.S. companies — basically based on how loudly they praise Trump, according to Axios. I know folks are nervous about the word “authoritarian.” But a “loyalty scorecard” sounds pretty damn authoritarian to me.

DOD omits that Steven Miller also was there, a very unusual and highly-politicizing person and purpose and spews so many lies, calling the DC "one of the most violent cities on planet earth... 99% of this city has been terrorized by 1%." Neither is true. It's a lie.

They just can't fathom that the emphasis on the evils of slavery is necessary to explain the progress we've made on that front (and what we still need to do). Otherwise, "how far we've come" is meaningless.
